ABC Company Summer Party 2027

Getting there

Four ways to reach a field south of Munich. One of them involves a slightly romantic uphill walk.

By shuttle — the recommended option

Free, direct, and you can start the party on the bus. Pick your departure when you RSVP.

From HQ

Departs 14:15 from the main entrance on Lyoner Straße. The driver waits exactly ten minutes, then goes — a rule we made after the 2024 incident, and we're sticking to it.

From München Ostbahnhof

Departs 14:40 from bus bay C, outside the northern exit. Look for buses with an "ABC" sign in the window and a suspiciously cheerful driver.

Getting home

Return shuttles at 20:00 (family shuttle), 22:00 (added on demand) and 23:15 (the last one, really). Both departure points again.

By train

For the self-sufficient and the romantic.

Take the S7 towards Aying from München Hauptbahnhof or Ostbahnhof (direction Kreuzstraße works too, both stop at Aying). From Aying station it's a 20-minute walk to the estate — uphill, along a field path that's lovely in June light and less lovely in party shoes. If you go this way, wear the shoes you were going to change out of later anyway.

Last connections back towards Munich run until around midnight — check the MVV app on the day; we've been burned by summer timetable changes before, and the 23:15 shuttle exists partly because of one memorable 2023 evening involving three engineers and a taxi debate.

By car

Possible, legal, and slightly less fun.

Plenty of parking on the gravel forecourt — follow the signs from the B304. Two things to know:

  • 0.0 rule for drivers. Yes, zero. There's a breathalyser honesty box at the exit; it's run on trust and one very committed volunteer from IT. Taxis can be ordered at the info desk on the terrace.
  • Leave before 23:00 or after 23:45 if you can — the shuttle wave at the end means the forecourt gate gets busy exactly then.

Electric cars: two charging points at the estate, first come first served. Ask at the info desk and we'll point you at them before someone from Engineering explains charging curves at you.

Staying the night

If the last shuttle sounds like a threat rather than a promise, here's where people are staying. All three hold rooms for us until 1 May 2027 under the code ABC-PARTY-2027.

Gasthof zur Linde

Großhelfendorf, 6 km from the venue · €92 per night incl. breakfast

Classic Bavarian gasthof, creaky floors in the best way, and a landlady who asked whether "company people" eat enough. Family-run, limited rooms, book early.

Booking code ABC-PARTY-2027 · 10 rooms held

Hotel Alpenblick

Aying, 3 km from the venue · €104 per night incl. breakfast

The closest proper hotel. Quiet, big garden, terrifyingly punctual breakfast service. S-Bahn into Munich if you're making a weekend of it.

Booking code ABC-PARTY-2027

Pension Sonnenhof

Ottobrunn, 11 km from the venue · €76 per night, breakfast €8

The budget pick, and honestly the friendliest. No card payments under €50 and the wifi is theoretical, but the beds are good and the garden has hammocks.

Booking code ABC-PARTY-2027

Rates are per room, per night, for 12 June 2027. Staying in Munich instead? Anything near Ostbahnhof puts you at the shuttle pick-up with minimal morning effort — that's a hint.
